In September, Quirijn sang the role of Piotr Ilyitsch Tchaikovsky in the world premiere of the Dutch opera Kolja, based on the book by Arthur Japin.
This debut was unexpected. The singer playing Tchaikovsky had lost his voice due to illness. Quirijn learnt this leading role in two days and sang from the pit while the original singer played the part onstage.
October 2025 saw the launch of the first full production recording of Kurt Weill's Love Life.
Quirijn can be heard in the lead role of Samuel Cooper.
It is a live recording of the Opera North production from earlier this year,
which is nominated for the International Opera Award 2025.
This year Quirijn opens a boutique voice studio in the centre of Haarlem,
specialising in a holistic approach to singing and performing,
according to the concept of the 3 personas.
